Niugini Assurance -Terms & Conditions of Prize Draws

A. COMPETITION GOVERNANCE

1. Please note, the Instructions on how to enter and other details contained within promotional advertisements for this competition form part of the conditions of entry
2. The laws of Papua New Guinea govern the Terms and Conditions of this competition
3. By entering the competition, entrants agree to abide by these Terms and Conditions

B. PROMOTER

1. Niugini Assurance Group Limited is the promoter and owner of the competition

C. WHO CAN ENTER THE COMPETITION AND THEIR OPPORTUNITY/ OBLIGATIONS

1. Entry into the competition signifies acceptance of all conditions.
2. Entrants are required to abide by the Terms and Conditions as presented.
3. Entry to the competition is limited to persons who are:
1. Over the age of 18 years, and
2. Registered as a delegate of the INNOVATION PNG 2023 Conference on Friday 10 November 2023 or registered to attend the INNOVATION PNG 2023 AWARDS gala evening on Thursday 9 November 2023.
3. Not an employee or representative of Niugini Assurance Group Limited.
4. In the interest of fairness (and relying on an honour system), the promoter asks entrants to limit their entries to one entry per day of the competition.

D. PROMOTION TYPE, JURISDICTION, TIME ZONE AND TIME FRAME

1. The 'Nature Says Win' AirPods is a game of chance competition (“the competition”)
2. The competition commences at 4 p.m. on Thursday 9 November 2023. Papua New Guinea Time (PGT Standard Time Zone)
3. Delegates of the INNOVATION PNG 2023 conference can enter the competition until 4 p.m. PGT on Wednesday 10 November 2023, when the competition closes
4. The prize draw shall take place on Wed 10 November 2023, after 4 p.m. and either before the close of the INNOVATION PNG 2023 Conference or shortly thereafter

E. THE PRIZE

1. There will be two (2) prizes, each of which is a set of Apple AirPods®

3. Niugini Assurance does not offer any option to redeem the prize for cash or an alternative prize.
4. The prize is not transferrable to another party; only the winner can collect the prize

F. WHERE AND HOW YOU CAN ENTER THE PRIZE DRAW (AND HOW OFTEN)

1. Entry to the competition is free and limited to those persons who are registered to attend the INNOVATION PNG 2023 conference and/ or gala events and (using an honour system only), we ask you to limit your entries to one per day (9 and 10 November 2023)
2. To enter the competition, you need to:
1. Visit the Niugini Assurance Trade Stand at the gala and conference venue (APEC Haus) on 9 and/ or 10 November 2023, where you will find our official 'Prize-Draw Ambassador'
2. Give our prize-draw ambassador your business card to place in the official prize-draw satchel ("prize draw container”).
3. In the event you don't have any printed business cards handy, we will have blank cards available that you can use to create a handwritten business card

G. THE PRIZE DRAW AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF THE WINNER

1. The prize draw will take place during the final hours of the INNOVATION PNG 2023 conference on 10 November 2023.
2. To ensure independence, Niugini Assurance will ask the conference organisers to:
1. Invite the CEO of Niugini Assurance or their nominee to present the prize to the winner(s) at the time of the prize draw.
2. Nominate a person who is not from Niugini Assurance to draw the winning business card(s) by pulling one card at random from the container of entries.
3. Conduct the prize draw in front of conference delegates and announce the winner. At that time, the conference organisers or representative of Niugini Assurance will ask the winner(s) to come forward and collect their prize.
4. Please also see the section on the contingency plan for the prize draw, in the event there is a disruption to the planned prize draw (which is scheduled to take place at the close of the conference).

H. PUBLICITY/ PUBLICATION OF THE WINNER DETAILS

1. Prize winner details may include their name, position/ job title, company/ employer name, and refer to their attendance at the INNOVATION PNG 2023 conference and/ or gala awards events in 2023.
2. Along with a message of congratulations, Niugini Assurance will publish the prize winner’s details on the Niugini Assurance website and Facebook Company Page.
3. As the promoter, Niugini Assurance may also announce the winner(s) of the prize(s) on additional social platforms (eg, on the Niugini Assurance LinkedIn Company Page and Instagram Page as well as its Facebook Business Page).
4. The event owner (Business Advantage) may also choose to mention the prize draw and winners in its news content about the conference and gala awards dinner.

I. CONTINGENCY PLAN FOR THE PRIZE DRAW AND ANNOUNCEMENT OF WINNER

1. If for any reason, it is not possible for the conference organisers to include the prize draw ceremony in the final hours of the conference, Niugini Assurance will conduct the prize draw as follows:
1. Where: at its conference trade stand (booth 1-2 at INNOVATION PNG 2023 EXPO)
2. When: shortly after the close of the conference proceedings.
3. How: In that case, Niugini Assurance will ask an independent person to make the draw and immediately announce the winner. If no independent person is available for that task a person from Niugini Assurance will make the prize draw and announce the winner.
2. The decisions of Niugini Assurance about the prize draw and any of these terms and conditions will be final and the company will not enter into any correspondence regarding those decisions.

J. COLLECTION OF THE PRIZE

1. The winner must collect their prize in person, either at the time of the prize draw or within 21 days of the prize draw.
2. In the event the winner of the winner does not come forward to collect their prize at the time of the draw, Niugini Assurance will use the information from the winner's prize draw entry to contact them by phone or email to arrange for the winner to collect their prize within 21 days of the prize draw.
3. If the prize winner needs to collect the prize after the conference event, Niugini Assurance may need to verify the identity of the person who collects the prize. In that event, Niugini Assurance may ask the person who collects the prize to provide evidence of identification by way of photographic ID, (e.g. driver's license or passport).

K. WHAT HAPPENS IF WINNER DOES NOT COLLECT THE PRIZE IN TIME

1. If the winner does not collect their prize on the day of the prize draw they must collect it in person (themselves) from the Niugini Assurance office within 21 days of the prize draw.
2. If the winner does not collect their prize within the nominated time for any reason, Niugini Assurance will donate the prize on behalf of the winner to a registered charity in Papua New Guinea
3. If the charity so desires, it can use the prize to help with its fundraising or for any other purpose (e.g. to help a student achieve quiet for study).

L. LIMITED LIABILITIES

1. The prize winner will be responsible for all costs associated with collecting and using the prize. Entrants will be responsible for all costs associated with entering the competition, which may include costs they incur to attend the conference or awards gala event.
2. Niugini Assurance is not responsible in any manner whatsoever for any problems or any financial costs incurred, or any combination thereof, including any injury or damage to participants or any other persons related to or resulting from participation in this competition.
3. Niugini Assurance accepts no responsibility and shall not be held legally liable or responsible for any accident, loss, injury or damage to any individual or property whether direct or indirect, whether in contract, tort, negligence or otherwise arising out of or in connection with the competition or the prize, either during or after the competition.
4. Entry into the competition signifies acceptance of all conditions. Entrants are required to abide by the Terms and Conditions as presented.
5. The decisions of Niugini Assurance will be final and the company will not enter into any correspondence regarding those decisions.

M. PRIVACY OF ENTRANTS AND CONFIDENTIALITY OF ENTRIES

1. Please know, Niugini Assurance does not intend to use the entries to the competition for any other purpose than to award the prize(s) as part of a game of chance (and to subsequently publicise the prize draw and winners).
1. The company has no intention to use your business card entry into the prize draw for any other reason.
2. Should you express interest in any of the products or services of Niugini Assurance, feel free to provide one of our team members with a separate business card for the purpose of sharing contact details.
3. Please also make sure to see the section of these terms and conditions on publication/ publicity and announcement of prize draw winner details.
2. To comply with the privacy and confidentiality clauses of these terms and conditions:
1. Our prize draw ambassador or their nominated Niugini Assurance person(s) will supervise the prize entry container for the entire time frame of the competition.
2. Within the 5 working days following the prize draw, the company will destroy all the prize draw entries it received, except that of the prize winner(s).
3. The time frame of the competition spans the two days of the conference and gala events (including the prize draw at the close of the conference), until the subsequent destruction of non-winning entries in line with these terms and conditions.
3. Please know that Niugini Assurance will respect the confidentiality of the prize draw entries and will not sell, reuse, rent, loan or otherwise disclose to any third party.
4. Please also know that Niugini Assurance will not use the prize draw entries in any way other than in accordance with these Terms and Conditions and the privacy statement of Niugini Assurance.
